Having a
party and looking for a great theme to amp up the fun factor? Here are a few of
my favourites…
1)
Hollywood Theme
No one will
turn down the opportunity to get dressed up and have fun.
Props: a
red carpet
Photo at arrival
2)
Alphabet
Theme
Take the
first letter of your name, and guests need to dress up as something beginning
with that letter.
Example? If
it were my party, guests would have to come dressed as something beginning with
a M. So, mickey mouse, mermaid, maid.
Want some
variety? Use your initials, so mine would be M.F.
Props:
nothing specific really, just good music and snacks.
3)
Colour
Party Theme
Choose your
favourite colour and have guests come dressed up in that colour.
Props: you
could match serviettes, paper plates and cups to the colour you chose.
Party till
sun rise: paper plates and cups will be your best friend as this would mean
less to clean up later and also less to break.
Sit down:
here you could match candles, flowers, serviettes and table clothes to the
colour you have chosen.
As my favourite colour is purple I'd have a purple party...
4)
Favourite
Movie Theme
This theme
will never get old. Choose your favourite movie and have guests dress up as the
characters in the movie. This works well with iconic films such as Grease, The
Wizard of Oz, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory and the Pirates of the Caribbean.
Props: once
you’ve chosen a movie, re-watch it to get some inspiration and decorate the venue
accordingly.
5)
Halloween
Theme
Now this,
truly a person favourite guarantees fun when it comes to costume ideas and also
makes for great photos. Guests could come as whatever they want, this way
you’re guaranteed a variety in costume choice.
